Early morning hours 1-2 AM, Jillian wakes up with croup. She sounds like a seal and is having trouble breathing between the coughing and crying. Karen sits with her in a steamy bathroom until she calms down. Scary night for all of us.

Jillian and I drive to San Antonio and then on to the Coast, Corpus Christi.

Drive back from Corpus Christi with Justin, Mom and Dad. Lunch layover in San Antonio, then drive home.

Fly back from Ohio.

We fly to Ohio.

Jillian's first 'alone' dental appointment. Jillian went bravely into the exam room while Mom and Eric waited in the waiting room. She did great and got a 'clean' check up report from the dentist. She said she likes going to the dentist!

Jillian gets sick around 7PM, throws up twice before bedtime. I get sick around 1PM. Eric throws up in the morning. Karen a couple of days later. Tough week.

April 29
I attended a conference in San Antonio and took Jillian with me. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa so Jillian got some quality time with my folks while I was working.

April 30
Jillian and I went to church with my Mom and Dad, Jeanine, David, Tanner, and Kendal. It happened to be a Lord's Supper service. The preacher explained his belief that you should include children. I explained the significance to Jillian and I believe she understood. It was a very special moment.

April 3,
Jillian fell asleep on the floor behind the door to her room during her 'quiet time'. This evening a strange dry hail storm, dime size hail, blew in. We went outside to check it out; Jillian was wearing my athletic shoes, tripped and skinned her knee. Her bleeding scrapped knee upset her so much she cried for the next 30 min. Karen wrapped her knee (Jillian doesn't like 'sticky' band aids) and that made it all better. I asked her if I could take her picture so we could show grandma and grandpa, she suggested we 'chat' with them on the computer!00

April 4,
Karen and Jillian went to Babies R Us this evening. Jillian fell on her face at the store and has a red knot just above her right eyebrow to show for it.

April 7,
Coppell Easter Egg Hunt at Wagon Wheel Park; I waited with Jillian on the 'starting line' while Karen and Eric stood on the side line and watched. Then it started to snow! Not enough to stick but heavy enough that Jillian complained it was getting in her eyes. They started the hunt and then the fire truck sounded it's horn. That scared Jillian and she started crying. I carried her out to the middle of the field, set her down and she just stood there. I had to get her started picking up eggs and candy. She ended up with about 5 eggs and 5 tootsie rolls. It was so cold we ending up retreating to the car. Neat event and despite the cold we had a good time.

Karen moved furniture around in the living room and we finished blowing up the bounce house. Finally Jillian and Eric got to cut loose. They bounced and laughed and had a blast.

March 30, 2007
Jillian's castle bounce house has arrived and we picked it up at the store. Karen put Eric to bed and the rest of us stayed up late blowing up the bounce house. We parked it half blown up in Jillian's room and we put her to bed. She bounced on it a little while before bedtime. We can tell it's going to be a big hit. Tomorrow should be fun.

Jillian is three years old today! Karen and I put up her Happy Birthday banner this morning. She had a big smile on her face when she woke up. I asked her what today was and she shyly said, "my birthday". She walked into the kitchen and was thrilled to see the banner. I told her the day would be fun and I would try to get off work early. I left work at 12:15 and walked into the house with a big "happy birthday" and a bundle of balloons. A special day for a special girl.

Eric flashes a big smile and rushes towards me when I get home from work. Jillian has been playing hide and seek. I have Eric wanted me to pick him up while Jillian anxiously waits for me to 'find' her.

I called home on my way home from work and Jillian answered. She said, "Daddy I got a Kite!" There was so much joy in her voice. It was the highlight of my day. I couldn't get home fast enough. When I drove up to the curb, Jillian ran to the door with one of the biggest smiles I'd ever seen. She was so happy and proud to show me her kite. It was an inflatable Strawberry Shortcake kite.

Karen picks up Wendy's for supper tonight. Jillian has chocolate milk for the first time! Of course she loves it. Eric consistently walks about 5 steps now.

March 25, 2007
Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine; Jillian rode the kid steam train; Jillian in the bounce house; Corn dogs for all; Eric did a face plant in the gravel.

Sara Elise Moore is born today. Jillian has a new cousin! Congratulations Justin and Shannon! Ironically, of ALL her books, Jillian brought these two books for me to read to her tonight:
"Two Is Company", by Judy Delton (signed by Justin as 1st grader) and "Little Raccoon and the Thing in the Pool", by Lilian Moore (signed by Justin Sept. 1975 - when he was attending The Santa Fe Episcopal Mission School)
Just a weird coincident???

Jillian's second hair cut. This time she gets a shampoo too!
