Big Weekend...Grandma and Grandpa Moore and Uncle Justin and Aunt Shannon drove up from San Antonio to visit me. Grandma Moore gave me a bottle Friday night. Although its hard for me to believe, I think she enjoyed it more than I did!
Aunt Shannon bought a present for me...my first Texas longhorn. It's a stuffed toy and pink!!! I was hoping for the real thing, Dad says I'm WAY too young. Shannon also gave Mom and Dad a web cam, oh no...if the pictures weren't enough...now this! So be on the lookout for the 'JAM CAM', starring yours truly.
While Mom stayed home to catch up on some sleep, Daddy took me out of the house without Mom for the first time. We went with Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle Justin, and Aunt Shannon to Founders Plaza at the DFW Airport to watch the airplanes take off and land. Apparently this is a big deal for Uncle Justin. (makes sense...him being a pilot and all) Uncle Justin took a bunch of pictures. It was an unusually cold day. Temp. in the 50s, and a strong north wind made it too cold to allow me out the car. Truth is, all of us stayed in the car while Uncle Justin took pictures. Bet you can guess...I went to sleep. I don't think I missed much.
We came back to house, picked up Mom, and went out to eat at Pei Wei. Since I'm still only drinking milk...I decided to sleep through the whole dinner. Funny thing...I don't think anybody minded.
Once we got back to the house it was picture time. If I thought my Dad was bad...oh my gosh...Uncle Justin and Aunt Shannon take the cake! I think they brought about 500 lbs. of camera equipment to take pictures of a 9 lb. baby!
I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this weekend. They each took turns holding me as I slept in their arms. Grandma remarked about the faces I made while dreaming. If only I could tell her not to worry...my bad dreams were only caused by knowing that soon they'd have to go back home.
