I am sick for the first time. I have my first fever. It was a miserable night. My body was really hot. Mommy took my temperature early this morning and it was 101.5 degrees so she took me to the doctor’s office. The doctor checked all the usual stuff, my eyes, my ears, my nose, and throat and she couldn’t find anything. So to my horror, they decided to draw blood and get a urine sample for testing to see why I have this fever. Oh my gosh, they poked me three times to get blood. Here's the proof of the poking. Don't I just look miserable??

I cried so badly and Mommy had to hold me down and she cried. It was just horrible. I’m not gonna say what they did to me to get the urine sample. However, I got the nurse back. I tooted and got it all over her, the wall, the floor. The stuff went everywhere. She got a sample all right…just not the type she wanted. I was very proud of myself when I herd the nurse tell Mommy that was the first time she got exploded on like that in her 11 year career! I guess she got me back when she returned and gave me a shot of antibiotics in the thigh.
All the while, Daddy was completely unaware of these events. He was flying home in an American Airlines jet. As he was taking a taxi home from the airport, he got the phone call from Mom from the doctor’s office. Not the welcome home he was expecting. Mommy and me had to wait a while at the doctor’s office to see if I was going to have an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Meanwhile, Daddy was back home locked outside the house. I bet next time he takes his keys with him. Or better yet, maybe he won’t go on any more business trips.
Mommy and Daddy gave me baby Tylenol every six hours. I threw up the next three times they tried to feed me. However, slowly but surely, I started to feel better.
