Daddy went back to work today. I threw up for the first time last night all over Daddy. He gave me a bottle of Similac for the first time since I had 2 ml in the hospital right after I was born. Mom's milk is much better, but since her breast infection and fever she's run out of milk. I sure hope Mommy gets better soon. I kept Mom and Dad up until 1:00 AM last night. I just wasn't ready to go to bed...or maybe I just gave Dad a hard time since I knew today was his first day back to work. I wasn't about to make it easy for him.

Got my very own insurance card today. Mom and Dad still think its neat when they see mail addressed to my name.

I'm officially a geek today. Daddy registered www.jillianavery.com today at godaddy.com. He's thinks its a big deal. Doesn't everybody have their own web page by now????

My first thunder storm. It was a interesting night. Rain and long, low rumbling thunder all night long.

I have a wonderful Mom. She's trying so hard to give me the best start to my life. Mom has a breast infection and 102 degree fever.

Mom took me for a stroller ride and I met more neighbors, Janet and Jeff. Now I love meeting people and they're very nice...but HELLO...MOM..I'm only 23 days old...its hot and humid outside and what about my fragile immune system!

Monday, April 19, 2004

Went to see Dr. Viktorin today. She is so nice. I'm a 7 lb. 9 oz. three week old.

Too bad you can't choose your parents, I don't know about these two.

...Mommy decides we should go for a stroller ride in the park. Sounds good, however Mom, next time check weather. It was WAY too windy. I thought I was going to blow away.

...then Dad in the kitchen. Whew...you can tell he doesn't belong there. Nice try Dad, but next time do us a favor and don't bother. I think Mom would rather skip a meal. Good thing I just drink milk...ohhhh the smell.

Busy day
I had my first phone conversation today. Dad put the phone up to my ear...and I heard Grandma Moore talking to me and I made some baby noises back to her.

Then, Mom and Dad took me back to the hospital where I was born to visit the nice nurses that helped me and Mom so much. Allison is one of my guardian angels so I had to thank her for sending Mom to Dr. Hoffman so he could deliver me. I also said thanks to Cara and Shaun the nurses who help Mommy learn how to breast feed me. Dad took pictures of course...if I end up blind, you now know why!

Great news, I've just about figured out how to get my thumb in my mouth. What a relief!

Event of the day...my umbilical cord stump fell off!!!

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

I'm only 16 days old and Mom gave me my first ever dose of medicine. YUCK! Actually, Dad said I took it real well. I didn't even cry.

Today Mom and Dad enjoyed their first fast food out with me in tow. They had lunch at Baja Fresh. Coincidently, Baja Fresh was the first meal they had after Mom told Dad she was pregnant with me!
I was good and stayed quiet. They 'deserve a break today'...oh wait that's a different fast food place!

I'm two weeks old today! Grandma and Grandpa Kauser left to go back home to Columbus Ohio today. I'm sad they left. I sure liked having them here. I'll keep bugging Mom and Dad until they take me up to Ohio to see them again.

Sunday, April 11, 2004

Today is Easter Sunday. My first holiday. Dad went to church. Mom stayed home to care for me. Soon I'll be big enough to go to church too! I can't wait.

Friday, April 09, 2004

Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Kauser took me into the weeds today! Just so they could take pictures of me in the bluebonnets. Guess we'll find out soon if I have any allergies!

Back from the doctor. Doc says I’m perfect and that Mom & Dad are doing fine. I weighed in at 7 lb. even. I’ve gained a few, I need to watch those lactose calories.

Another great day with the folks. It’s really neat how they learn about me so quickly. They gave me a sponge bath tonight, they did OK for first timers, but you’d think I could get some privacy, they took pictures! I hear that I’m going to the Doctor tomorrow, need to see if Mom and Dad are following their instructions.

Took Mom and Dad for a short walk, they get worn out too soon, they aren’t getting any younger you know. Darn, the Feds are on to me, when I got back I had a letter form them, it all starts with the Social Security Number, and they want me to sign it!!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Moore and Aunt Jeanine came by to welcome me to the family. Thanks, glad to be here. I miss you already.

First day home - March 31st, 2004 WOW, am I glad to be home!! I don’t want to go through that again! My weight is now 6 Lb. 5 oz.
