The one bad thing about Grandpa and Grandma Kauser visiting is when the day arrives when they have to say goodbye and go back home to Ohio. I am sad today. I can't wait to see them again.

I'm four months old today! My achievement this week, with Grandparents Kauser here to witness, is I've figured out how to control my pacifier. I can take it out of my mouth and put it back in without any help! I've been watching Grandpa Kauser all week long working on our front bay window. He replaced the lower wood of the frame. Daddy sure is lucky to have my Grandpa come and visit and do this job he should be doing himself. Grandpa's Canon A80 was delivered today. HEY!!! WAIT A MINUTE, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND GRANDPA GETS A PRESENT! That's not the way it's supposed to work! Grandpa photographed me in the 'blue dress' today. This blue dress has quite a story. Grandma bought it and had pictures taken of her first baby, my Aunt Gayle, wearing this dress. Then when my Mommy was born, Grandma had my Mommy's picture taken in the same blue dress. Then about ten years ago my Aunt Gayle had a baby, my cousin Michaella, and of course, Grandma had her picture taken in the SAME dress. Now...it's my turn. That dress is almost 40 years old! I am honored to wear this dress. Hope my picture comes out good! The night ended with Grandma making me laugh harder than I've ever laughed before. She's so funny! I love my Grandma and Grandpa Kauser and because they were here for it...It was the best four-month-old birthday a baby could have!

Geocaching today. I like geocaching. Can't wait until I learn how to walk and talk so I can help them find the cache. If they only knew how silly they look, walking around and around in circles. Mommy put me in the baby pouch she sewed. What is she thinking? I'm a human baby, not a kangaroo!

Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France for the 6th time. No one has ever won 6 times, and I’m betting he goes for his 7th win next year. As a fellow Texan…I’m especially proud of Lance Armstrong. Way to go Lance!

Ohh noooo...Grandpa and Daddy ordered digital cameras today. This will be Grandpa's first digital camera. He's worse than Daddy about taking pictures. Now with both of them firing off their flashes, I'm doomed! It doesn't matter how fancy their cameras are they can't get a good picture if I refuse to smile. I'm amazed by how much power I have.

What a nice surprise. This evening Grandma and Grandpa Kauser arrived. They drove all the way from Ohio to visit us for a week. I was so happy to see them. The last time they saw me I was only a little baby just two weeks old. Now I'm all of 4 months old.

Wonder what I did wrong today? Mommy and Daddy made me sleep in my crib all by myself tonight instead of the bassinet next to them in their room! Don't get me wrong, I like having my own room and all...but they can't honestly expect me to sleep there all by myself from now on do they??? I thought my room was only for naps and play. What gives???

Rolled over from my tummy to my back today. What a relief...I've got to get mobile and fast. I have a lot to learn and this baby body is holding me back.

I'm discovering what these vocal cords are for. No more of that soft cooing from me. I've learned to screech and scream. Seems to work with Mom and Dad almost as much as crying. Crying still rules as the best way to get them to me quickly. Kinda weird, at first when I started screeching ...Mom and Dad were all ecstatic...that feeling appears to be wearing off...and the louder I scream the less they seem to like it. I'll note this for later in case they make me mad.

I went to sleep at 6PM yesterday and didn't wake up until over 12 hours later at 6:40AM this morning. The sleep was great, however I hadn't had a bottle for over 15 hours!!! Needless to say, I was starving. Mommy's milk never tasted better!

Had my first dose of baby Zantac. The doctor thinks I have a mild case of reflux or GERD. Hope there are no side affects to this drug. I don't liking taking drugs if I don't have too.

Tonight I cried louder and harder than I ever had. Mommy and daddy were worried for a while. They held me really tight to comfort me and gave me a dose of Mylicon. That did it...it was just gas. Took 'em long enough to figure it out. I bet next time they won't wait so long. I can cry even louder if I have to.

I laughed for the first time today! Mommy had attached a wrist rattle above my changing table some time ago to give me something to look at. It was the middle of the day and Daddy was home from work, on holiday for the 4th of July, changing my diaper. Mommy was sitting beside the changing table pumping. All of a sudden the wrist rattle fell on my face and I started laughing. So guess what they proceeded to do....yep, drop the rattle on my face over and over again to make me laugh some more. Mom and Dad went nuts, you'd think they just won the lottery. These grownups are so easy to please.

Today is America's 228th birthday! My first 4th of July! I'm so lucky to be born in the United States of America and I'm so proud to be an American!

Grandpa and Grandma Moore came to visit me this weekend. They worked really hard to put up the fence in my backyard. Of course, they picked the hottest weekend of the year. It was so humid it drove the heat index above 100 degrees. They drank about three gallons of iced tea! I remember grandpa had come in for an iced tea break and he was just covered in sawdust, it got all over his face and in his eyes too. Sawdust sticks on a sweaty face you know. The fence looks great! Thanks grandma and grandpa!

I really love my grandparents.
