Milestone! I crawled today for the very first time. It also happens to be my first ever Halloween! Daddy said, "how ironic" and something about not being sure if my crawling was a 'trick' or a 'treat'. I'm sure. 'Trick' on them, because now I can get into anything I want, (just have to wait until they're not looking) and 'treat' for me, for all the goodies I'm sure to find that I'm not supposed to have! If you go to my gallery album, 7 months, you can witness this great achievement yourself. Daddy shot a video.
Mommy and Daddy are happy now, just wait... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I didn't know this much fun existed! Mommy and I went for a walk in the park. Mommy called Daddy on his way home from work and told him to meet us there. Mommy wanted Daddy around to see me swing for the first time. That was so nice of her, I have the best Mommy in the world. Oh my gosh...it was the most fun I've had in all my life! You can see for yourself, check out the video clip.
...swinging is fun ...yea! ...hope I don't fall out! ...my biggest smile yet!

Grandma and Grandpa Moore came to visit me this weekend. I was very happy to see them again. I love them so much. I just wish I was feeling a little better. Nothing serious, just trying to figure out my plumbing. I've got the input part of it down, it's just the output that isn't always easy. Prunes do help, good thing I like them.

We went to a couple of pumpkin patches this weekend and had a great time. Who knew a field full of pumpkins could be so fun?

Went geocaching today with Mom and Dad. We found two. I can't wait until I can walk. Mommy and Daddy walk round and round trying to find the cache. I bet I could take them right to it. They need my help. I'm surprised they found two today. Here is a picture of Daddy and me signing the log book. BTW...the good news, the blood and urine tests were negative. I was never worried.

Daddy left Tuesday for TDY to Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. Today the Doctor called Mommy and I had to go back to the Doctor's office to give a blood sample and another pee sample. Again, too much protein in my pee. Mommy and Daddy will be anxious until the results come back. I'm not worried at all. Mommy said I was real brave. I didn't even cry much. Daddy will be back tommorow and I can't wait to tell him how brave I was.

6 month Doctor visit today. It's Columbus Day so Daddy went with Mommy and me. This time Daddy held me down while the nurse gave me my shots. I cried real bad, but I quit real fast once Daddy picked me up. I weighed in at 15lbs. 8oz., 25 inches, 41.5 cm head. The Doctor thinks I have too much protein in my urine so I had to pee in a bag so they could run some tests. I feel just fine. Hope the tests come back okay.

Road Trip. Friday we drove down to San Antonio. It's a long drive when you're stuck in an infant car carrier. However, I like to travel so I don't mind too much. This morning I went on my first hike. We hiked three miles at the Siesta Valley Ranch Walk. The Moore family meets at this Texas Hill Country ranch every year to participate in the walk, eat the BBQ lunch, and collect a free t-shirt. Grandma introduced the family to this walk in 1999. It's become an annual family reunion event and they haven't missed one yet. I intend to keep my perfect attendance record.

Next on today's agenda was Joey's birthday party. I still haven't met all the extended Moore family yet so this was the perfect opportunity to meet my second cousins Joey and Veronica and their families. The party was at Jacala's mexican restaurant, where I officially got my first taste of grown-up table food. Mommy shared her guacamole with me. I'm not surprised my first taste of grown up food is 'mexican'.

Since I have to go the Doctor on Monday, we will be driving home tomorrow. I hope we come back soon. I love my Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles and Cousins.

Mommy and Daddy took me to the Cottonwood Art Festival. They go every year. It's really a first class event. The highlight this year was meeting Amado M. Pena Jr. Daddy told me Pena is a widely recognized painter. He's known for the bold colors he uses in his paintings of Native Americans of the Southwest. Daddy bought for me Pena's childrens book "Amadito and Spider Woman" and Pena even signed it for me...."TO JILLIAN...". I can't wait until Mommy and Daddy read my new book to me.

Then to close out a perfect day. I took my first bath in the big tub! I've finally out grown my baby bath tub. This is great fun! Hey Mom...this tub is BIG. Next time bring more toys!

Prison? Mommy lowered the platform in my pack n play. I'm not sure I'm going to like this. She says it's for my own good. Now that I'm more mobile she doesn't want me to fall off the top level. Well how else did she expect me to get out of that thing. I haven't learned how to JUMP yet. Otherwise, you can bet I'd be jumping out. Now I'm so deep into this thing, I'll have to start devising another way out. Hummmmm, that fabric netting doesn't look too strong...
