I can stand without help, and I'm only 10 months old today! I probably could have done this sooner, but I waited until Daddy got back from TDY. That's the story I'm sticking with anyway. I guess the next step, ...is well... a step! Then walking. Mommy and Daddy seem very excited that I'm so close to learning how to walk. I can promise...they're not ready, and have no idea what they're in store for!!!

...I can stand!

Daddy came home from Asia today. Mommy and I went to the airport to pick him up. He was waiting by the curb. I could tell he was glad to see me, he sat in the back seat with me for the ride home! He told Mommy I had grown while he was away. He said my hair was longer and darker. Silly Daddy!!!, you've only been away 12 days! I'm just so happy the whole family is back together again.

Mommy is sad today. After seven weeks she had a miscarriage. God had other plans in Heaven for my brother or sister. I understand, I was just there, and I know how it works. Mommy called Daddy in Taiwan and broke the news to him. I'm very proud of my Mommy, she is very brave. We both can't wait until Daddy gets home.

Mommy’s the best. While Daddy is TDY, she is managing all the household duties and still taking care of all my needs. Daddy left Sunday. Monday my cold was gone. Sure hope that’s just a coincidence and I’m not allergic to my Daddy!! It sure is nice to breathe clearly again. Mommy and I went down the street for a play date at Neely’s house. Samantha is my best friend and we’re both the same age. Well actually she’s two weeks older than me, but hey, who’s counting?

Happy Birthday Uncle Justin! I wish it were possible to be in San Antonio with you and the rest of the family to celebrate your birthday today. Hope to see you soon!

Daddy had two bags packed at the front door when I woke up. This is not a good sign. He never takes two bags when he goes TDY for work. Twelve days must be a long time. Mommy told me he’s going to the other side of the world. Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Seoul. I don’t want him to go. He’s going too far away and staying too long. He should be here with Mommy and me. I’m happy that he will visit far away places, but sad that he’s not home with us. Daddy says he feels the same way. The taxi man arrived to take Daddy to the airport early in the morning and Mommy and me walked Daddy to the door to see him off. Mommy gave him a big hug and kiss and then he held me tight so I could hug him for a long time before he left. He hugged me so tight I thought I was going to burst, but this time it was okay. See you soon Daddy!

I’m slowly getting better at speaking their language. Today I was trying to say Mommy, “Ma Ma Ma” came out. Not quite right, but it sure made Mommy smile. Evidently the expectation level to learn to speak the language is set pretty low.

I finally figured out what Mommy expects when she says, “kiss, kiss, kiss”, so I laid a big wet one on her. Sure made her happy. These grownups are like putty in my fingers.

Grandma and Grandpa Moore drove up from San Antonio to visit me this weekend. Since I was in Ohio for Christmas and Daddy’s going to Asia next week for 12 days, they wanted to make a quick trip to deliver Christmas presents from all my family in San Antonio. What fun, to celebrate Christmas again and open more presents. I love all the presents I got! Of course, the best present of all was the visit from Grandpa and Grandma.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Moore

Mommy took me to the Doctor today since my cold is getting worse and because I’ve developed a cough. The Doctor looked into my ear and said my cold has progressed into an ear infection. I’m grumpy because my ear hurts and my nose is either running constantly, or it’s stopped up making it hard to breathe. Now I have to take antibiotics for the next ten days plus a decongestant to help clear up my stuffy nose. I’m determined this cold isn’t going to slow me down. The worst part is Mommy chasing after my nose to wipe it. I don’t like my nose wiped…and don’t even get me started on that bulb sucker thing. Somebody must have a twisted sense of humor to make a turkey baster part of the take home baby care kit!!! I keep turning my head but Mommy is persistent and I just can’t turn my head that far around! Don’t tell my Mommy, but I do feel better after the snot is gone, even if it’s only for a little while. I must admit, I like Daddy’s method better, he just lets me wipe my nose on his shirt.

Mommy and Daddy say I’m going to have a brother or sister! That’ll be great. Finally, someone I can relate too.

Happy New Year!…that's what I heard Mommy and Daddy saying today. I don’t get what’s happy about it. Seems like any other day. Plus, I still have my cold! So for me it’s just New Years Day. I figured out today must be another holiday because Daddy and I watched a parade on TV this morning! Guess grownups need a lot of holidays to force them to slow down and spend more time with their families. I’m all for that!

Today is a Happy New Years Day for my Uncle David because today is his Birthday!
Happy Birthday David!
