Play day at Jessieca’s house. Mommy and me walked down the street for lunch and play time with Benjamin and Amelia. It’s nice to spend time with other children. We talk about our parents and compare how they are developing.

Daddy takes another day off from work so Mommy and me take him with us to the library for story time. It’s Daddy’s first time, so we go easy on him when he ‘mouths’ the words of the songs instead of singing out loud like you’re supposed to do. I think I heard a word or two of singing slip out….he needs to stick to just ‘mouthing’ the words.

Mommy and Daddy have room service pastries and coffee, and then Grandma and Grandpa Moore and Uncle Justin bring breakfast tacos! What a great way to start the day in San Antonio at the Hill County Resort. I could get used to this. The crib the hotel provided was very comfortable. After breakfast we went for a walk to check out the hotel property. Daddy requested a late checkout and I got to go swimming again! We started in the toddler pool, then the heated pool, and then into the hot tub with the waterfall. What a great place. I could live here!

That evening we went out to dinner to celebrate Grandma’s birthday. Her birthday was the 11th of April. I was glad she waited for me. We went out to Leon Springs and ate at
Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q.
It was a great evening. I was able to see Grandma and Grandpa, of course, Aunt Jeanine, Uncle David, Tanner, Kendal, Uncle Justin, Aunt Shannon, Joey, Laurie, Veronica, Brandi, and Jenna again. I had a blast.

My first time swimming is at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort! Daddy took the day off from work and we drove down to the Hill Country Resort in San Antonio. As soon as we got checked into our room we put on our swimming suits and went out to check out the hotel pool. Did I say pool? Oh my, that was misleading…try 4 acre water playground containing 5 or 6 pools with cascading waterfalls and hot tubs and a sandy beach and a 950 ft. Ramblin’ River ride! Mommy, Daddy and I got into inner tubes and floated down the river. So since my first swimming experience was actually tubing in the Hill Country, Daddy says it’s official, I’m a Hill Country River Rat! Now that I’ve experienced the good life, I wonder what Mommy intends to do with that little plastic pool she bought at Wal-Mart? It certainly isn’t going to do!

I knock at closed doors now. It doesn’t appear to be working, however, the doors don’t open when I do this. I find it humorous that when I ‘knock, knock’ on the door, Mommy and Daddy in unison sing out “who’s there??” They’re not that smart, it’s only the three of us in the house and if I’m knocking, and we’re all together in the same room, why on earth are they asking ‘who’s there? DUH

I learned how to wink today. I love the reaction I get from Mom and Dad. They continue to amaze me.

Grandma and Grandpa have to start their drive back to Ohio today! The last 10 days just flew by! I’m sad they have to leave so soon. There is so much I’m going to miss. Waking up to four big hugs every morning. Eating at a table for four with all the seats full. Watching them walk around in circles while Geocaching. Grandma taught me how to jump on the bed, and Grandpa taught me which door to go to when I want to go outside. I’ll miss Grandma making me laugh, and I’ll miss sitting in the front window, gazing outside with Grandpa.
Mom takes me to the Doctor for my one-year check up. I weigh 18 lbs., 8 oz., 28 1/4 inches, still under the 25th percentile.

I waited until Grandma and Grandpa came to visit to show off my walking skills. I can walk non-stop if I want to. Check out my walking video in my 12 month gallery. Each day I get better and better at balancing so I don’t fall down that much anymore. When I occasionally do, it doesn’t hurt because my diaper is padded. Mommy and Daddy went out to eat at Bucks Steakhouse and left Grandma and Grandpa alone with me. Grandma did a great job giving me my bath and putting me to sleep.
